Can I take my pigeon VoIP anywhere in the world ?

Yes you can take Pigeon wherever you travel. To use elsewhere apart from Delhi and Mumbai you need to have a broadband connection and a telephone instrument. Call the support center for further details.

How does Pigeon VoIP Phone work?

VoIP uses a Broadband Internet Connection for routing telephone calls as opposed to conventional switching & fibre-optic alternatives. The end user establishes a high speed broadband connection, a router and a VoIP gateway.
Instead of the standard telephone line, the router sends the telephone calls over an Internet connection. Pigeon VoIP converts your phone calls into data that goes through your high- speed broadband connection just like email. It comes out the other end just like regular phone and our callers are unlikely to feel any difference as it sounds just like a regular phone call.
With Pigeon VoIP, you can have additional ‘virtual’ phone line without having to pay for new cabling at your premises.

What does the Telephone Adapter do?

The Telephone Adapter is an analogue to digital phone converter. It makes it possible to use your MTNL Broadband connection for additional virtual lines.

Does Pigeon VoIP actually work like regular phone?

Yes. You just plug your phone in to the telephone adapter and make your calls as usual- VoIP to International PSTN/ Mobile and Pigeon VoIP to Pigeon VoIP. There is no need to use a headset or install additional software. However, you would not be able to receive calls from any normal PSTN / Mobile Phones at present.

Is there any difference in call made from SIP to foreign country between landline & mobile?

Yes, some country have difference in call rates between landlines & mobiles.

Can we check our balance of our SIP on our own?

Yes, we can.

Are we, charged for usage of bandwidth while making VoIP calls?

The MB usage of VoIP service is not charged.

Do I get another number with Pigeon VoIP service?

Yes, when you sign up to Pigeon VoIP service you are given a 8 digit SIP ID number starting with 2. You would have to continue keeping your existing landline number.

What kind of Telephone instrument can I use with the Pigeon VoIP service.

Almost all instruments work with VoIP.

How good is the voice quality?

Voice quality is much better than a mobile phone and it’s unlikely either you or your caller will notice the difference.

Can we call on regular landlines and mobiles internationally?

Yes. You can call on any mobile or landline service provider across the globe and would be charged at the tariff applicable.

How do I make an international call ?

For making international call you need a International Dialing pre-paid card. Dial 00 plus country code + number.
